We're moving away from blogspot.com to our own domain, and it'll be using Wordpress instead.

The Seahawks off-season will be dominated by talk of Shaun Alexander, and so it's likely to come up for discussion here on The Fan more than once. NFL adds fuel to conspiracy theory flames“Steelers towels were on sale at every souvenir stand in the stadium,” Holmgren said, noting that blue-and-green Seahawks towels were not available.

You're probably right. But I'm finding some good voices out there who are saying things that need to be documented. Nope. Check these out:

The Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl despite making only three plays the whole game, which is a testament to how much the Seahawks shot themselves in the foot and -- I hate to even mention it, but how can you not? -- to the poor officiating.
Three plays: A long TD run, a gadget play for a TD pass, and an INT. Outside of that, the Seahawks controlled this game. To wit, Seattlem2http://www.blogger.com/profile/07857678580711111932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7090544.post-1139188972117396682006-02-05T17:20:00.000-08:002006-02-05T17:23:15.306-08:00Super Bowl - 1st HalfTerrible all around. Too many penalties. Terrible officiating. D-Jack's TD was not a penalty -- the DB was standing upright and D-Jack's alleged push didn't move the guy an inch. And Roethlisberger didn't get in the end zone.
Still, Seahawks are hurting themselves as much as the refs are. What is up with all the penalties??? Gotta fix that. I'm sure they will.

And bonus! Schatz also gives a slight edge to the Seahawks. The Seahawks will get their points, and bottle up Pittsburgh's running game. Seattle: crab, mussels, oysters, salmon ... yuck. Can't stand seafood. In this one case, I think I'll go with the Pittsburgh menu - kielbasa, pierogis, chili, that sounds about right.

Is it because they've won seven games in a row and the Seahawks haven't? I doubt it. The oddsmakers are smart enough to understand the Hawks only loss since October 2nd was a meaningless game against Green Bay in Week 17. So you can't use momentum to explain the Steelers being favored.
