Pittsburgh Steelers - Game Day Rituals

Like so many other Pittsburgh Steelers fans we are fanatics. As fanatical fans, we believe that our game day rituals play a part in the winning or losing of each football game. Sound crazy? Well, we are not alone. Why do you think the Pittsburgh Steelers often win or lose by the skin of their teeth? It is because of the fans. Let's start off with my credentials. I come from generations of Pittsburgh Steelers fans. I was born and raised in da' burgh. My father is an eyewitness to The Immaculate Reception. To continue the madness, even though I had moved away for my job, life gets in the way sometimes, I found and married myself a boy from the burg. It is a disease and we love it. So here it goes. It all begins the night before...

'Twas the Night Before the Pittsburgh Steelers Game

This is important, so listen up.  You must wear Steelers gear to bed. I'm not talkin' game day jerseys. I mean like t-shirts, sweatshirts or pajamas if you like. Why, you ask? Well, you want to be all Steelered up for the very first minutes of game day.  Pittsburgh Steelers Sleepwear is a must!

The Morning Of

You must begin Game Day with the Proper Equipment.  Okay, so what you need to start game day is a Pittsburgh Steelers Mug. They look great and hold all of your beveraging needs.

This is difficult to share but there have been times, especially evening games, when we forgot to use our game day mugs. We quickly remembered, poured our morning drinks into our Steelers mugs and hoped for the best. On the occasion where we did not do the swap quick enough, the Steelers lost the game. When we did perform our swap quickly, the game has ended in a nail biting win. For those of you that are believers, you know what I am talkin' about. I just want to add that I really do not have my own mug. Why? Every time we win our division or a Super Bowl my father buys my husband a mug or two. I just take one and use it for the following year. I mean really what is the man thinking? I am his daughter.  I'm not bitter or anything but even my daughter has her own mug.

Game Day Uniforms for the Fans 

This section should not really need any explanation. I hope all true football fans gear up for the game. This is something that you should have learned in grade school.  So, if you are lacking in this department get yourself some Steelers Game Day Apparel.

Last but not least. If you go out on game day and the weather is such that you need to cover your game day apparel, you must, I repeat, you must wear Pittsburgh Steelers Outdoor Apparel. You know, jackets, caps and stuff.
